Terms of Use

About Wonderent:

Wonderent is Wonderchef’s sustainable rental solution, designed to give you flexible, affordable access to premium kitchen appliances while supporting a greener planet. Wonderent lets you enjoy high-quality products at a fraction of the cost, with the flexibility to try before buying, so you can find the perfect fit for your lifestyle. With Wonderent, luxury is made affordable without compromising on product quality, service and warranty, or commitment to sustainability. By choosing to rent, you become part of a circular, sharing economy that reduces waste and promotes conscious, eco-friendly choices.

Placing an Order:

  • Select Tenure > Make Payment Upfront > Complete KYC verification > Track Your Shipment > Enjoy Your Rented Product
  • The monthly rent varies depending on the rental tenure you select. All the prices on the Wonderchef website are inclusive of taxes.
  • To place an order, please choose your desired rental tenure and complete the full rental payment upfront for the entire duration – this will ensure a hassle-free rental experience. Additionally, you will be charged a refundable security deposit amount. This amount will be refunded to you when you return your product, and it successfully undergoes a quality check.
  • Once you’ve made the payment, you need to complete your KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. You can do this either using DigiLocker (if you have an account) or uploading your ID and Address proofs manually.
    • ID Proof – You can submit any one of the below documents as your ID proof. The name on the document you upload should match the name under which the order is placed.
      • Aadhaar Card
      • PAN Card
      • Driver’s License
      • Passport
      • Voter ID
    • Address Proof – You can submit any one of the below documents as your address proof. The address on the document you upload should match the delivery address and should be in your name.
      • Aadhaar Card
      • Passport
      • Driver’s License
      • Rental Agreement
      • Bank Statement
    • The KYC verification process may take up to 48 hours. In case of discrepancies or incomplete information, the Wonderchef team will contact you for clarification. Wonderchef reserves the right to reject KYC verification at its sole discretion.
    • If your KYC documents are rejected, you will be notified via email. In such cases, your order will be canceled, and the amount paid will be refunded to the account you made the payment from within 5-7 business days from the date of cancellation.

Your order will be confirmed and processed for shipping only after successful verification of your KYC documents.

  • Once your order is shipped, the tracking details will be shared with you over your registered email ID. You can also log into wonderchef.com using your registered email ID, navigate to My Account and open your order under My Rentals for all updates regarding your rental order.
  • The product will typically be delivered to you within 5-7 business days once dispatched. Delivery may be delayed depending on the delivery location and unforeseen circumstances like delays due to festivals, strikes, elections, weather etc.
  • Your rental subscription will begin only once the product has been delivered to you.
  • If you rent one of the below products, you are eligible for an in-person or virtual product demonstration – based on your location and availability of our team. Our team will reach out to you to schedule the demonstration.
    • Wonderchef Regenta and Regalia Fully Automatic Coffee Machines
    • Wonderchef Roti-Magic
    • Wonderchef Chef-Magic
  • You are required to preserve all the original packaging that the product comes in, including the product box, outer brown box and bubble wrap. If you do not have the original packaging at the time of returning the product, additional packaging will be sent to you for INR 300. The payment for product extra packaging needs to be made additionally and will not be adjusted within your security deposit. A payment link will be shared with you for the same.
  • If you have any concern about the product delivered, please write to us at wonderent@wonderchef.in within 48 hours of delivery. This ensures that we document the issue and prevent any charges for such damages from being deducted from your security deposit at the end of your rental tenure.
  • While you are renting from Wonderchef, the ownership of the product lies with us. The ownership is only transferred to you in the case that you purchase your rented item.

Servicing:

  • Your product is under warranty with us during your rental tenure as per standard service level agreements.
  • If there is a manufacturing defect in your product, the same will either be serviced or, if unserviceable, replaced from our rental stock. Your rental tenure will be extended by the number of days it takes to service or replace your rented item.
  • Please note, replacement requests solely for aesthetic reasons will not be considered.
  • In case your product is eligible for replacement, we will organize a pickup for the unit you received previously. Please note that it can take up to 5-7 days for the replacement product to reach you.
  • To raise a service request, please write to us at wonderent@wonderchef.in and our customer care team will be in touch with you within 48 hours.

You can also register a query through Wonderchef’s other channels including WhatsApp or our toll-free number. A complaint number will be assigned, and our customer care team will contact you within 48 hours to understand and resolve your issue.

Contract Extension and Closure:

  • You can choose one of the following options as your next steps:
    • Purchase your rented product
    • Extend your rental tenure
    • Return your rented product
  • To view the specific purchase and extensions amounts for your product, please log into your Wonderchef account and navigate to My Rentals. You will be required to make your next steps decision through My Rentals itself.
  • Please ensure you confirm your next steps before the end of your rental tenure to avoid any additional charges.

Purchase:

  • You can purchase your rented product at a discounted price at the end of your rental tenure.
  • You can see your purchase price by clicking on “Purchase Product” under My Rentals.
  • To purchase your product, simply click on complete purchase and you will be redirected to our dedicated payment gateway.
  • If you purchase your rented product, the product will remain under warranty with us for 1 year from the date your contract ends.
  • The purchase invoice and warranty card will be emailed to your registered email ID and will also be downloadable under your specific order on the My Rentals dashboard.
  • The discounted purchase price is arrived at by adjusting the rental (including extensions) and security deposit amounts you have paid so far against the purchase price of the product on the Wonderchef site. This purchase price is non-negotiable.
  • Products purchased through Wonderent are not eligible for Wonderpoints or for extended warranty.

Rental Tenure Extension:

  • You can extend your rental tenure by 1, 3, 6 or 12 month(s).
  • The rent per month will differ based on the extension tenure you choose.
  • You can see the extension prices by clicking on “Extend Tenure” under My Rentals.
  • To extend your tenure, simply choose the number of month(s) you’d like to extend by and click on Complete Payment and you will be redirected to our dedicated payment gateway.
  • Once the payment is complete, your account will be updated with your new subscription end date. You can download your rental extension invoice from here as well.

Product Return:

  • To return your rented product, simply click on “Initiate Return” under My Rentals. You are required to initiate the process of return at least 15 days in advance of the end of your rental tenure.
  • Here you will be required to confirm 2 points:
    • Whether your pickup address is the same as your delivery address. If not, then please enter your full pickup address.
    • Whether you have the original packaging of the product. If not, additional packaging will be sent to you for the nominal price of INR 300/-. The payment for this extra packaging needs to be made additionally via a payment link and will not be adjusted within your security deposit.
  • Once you have filled in the above details, you can submit a request to initiate pickup.
  • Once you’ve placed the request, you’ll be required to complete a virtual quality check step through My Rentals.
  • This involves uploading images of your rented product from all angles (front, back, top, bottom and both sides).
  • The quality check step helps us assess the condition of the product, insures against transit damage and helps ensure the refund of your security deposit.
  • We will schedule your pickup post successful completion of the virtual quality check. You are required to complete the quality check before the end of your rental tenure. In case there is a delay from your end in completing this step and your rental tenure comes to an end, your rental tenure will automatically be extended for another month at the same rate and you will be liable to pay this amount.
  • Once you’ve successfully completed your quality check step, your pickup request will be approved. Our pickup partner will give you a call in the following week to check your availability for pickup – which can take place on or before the end date of your rental tenure. Please keep an eye out for this call.
  • You will be required to pack the product in its original packaging as best as you can, in the same manner you received the product. Please ensure that the product does not move around in its box – you can wrap the parts in bubble wrap or newspaper to prevent movement and collision.
  • If there is any delay from our end in pickup, you will not be charged for the additional days. However, if the delay is due to your unavailability, your rental tenure will be automatically extended for another month at the same rate and you will be liable to pay this amount.
  • Once your product is picked up, it will be returned to the Wonderchef warehouse for a physical quality assessment. Once the product is picked up from your location it can take up to 2 weeks for it to reach the warehouse and undergo the check. The process may take longer depending on the location of the pickup and unforeseen circumstances like delays due to festivals, strikes, elections, weather etc.

Quality Check and Security Deposit Refund

  • Once your product reaches the Wonderchef warehouse, it undergoes a physical quality assessment which involves a complete functionality check.
  • If your product is in good functional and aesthetic condition, we will process the refund of your entire security deposit amount.
  • Regular wear and tear during use is expected and not chargeable. However, if the returned product has major dents or scratches, broken parts or is non-functional, you will be charged the damage amount accordingly. This amount will be determined based on the kind of damage and service cost or cost of the missing parts. A description of the damage, images and damage deduction amount will be shared with you over email once the QC process is completed.
  • The damage amount (if any) will be deducted from your security deposit, and the remaining amount will be refunded to you.
  • In case the damage amount exceeds the security deposit amount, you will either be liable to pay the damage amount or the total value of the product, whichever is higher. We will share a payment link with you to complete this payment. If you don’t comply and complete the same, then we will be within our right to take legal action against you.
  • The refund of your security deposit amount will be processed once the quality check step is complete – this will be done maximum within 2 weeks of the product reaching our warehouse. Once the refund has been initiated, it can take 3-5 business days for the amount to be credited to the same account you paid from. You can check the refund status and refund tracking number under My Rentals.

Legal Consequences of Non-Return and Non-Payment

  • Our customer service team will contact you 15 days before the end of your tenure. If you are unreachable, the team will continue to try to get in touch with you till the end of your tenure.
  • If we do not hear from you by the end of your tenure, we will auto extend your rental tenure for 1 month at the same rate and you will be liable to pay this amount.
  • You will have to pay this rental amount additionally via a payment link and it will not be adjusted in your security deposit.
  • If you don’t comply and complete the payment, then we will be within our right to take legal action against you.
  • You are required to respond to us within the first month of auto-renewal to complete the payment and communicate next steps. If you fail to do so, the case will be escalated, and a legal notice will be issued to you. We also reserve the right to send our product retrieval team to your location to retrieve the rented product.
  • You are legally bound by these terms of use to respond to us after your rental tenure is over, otherwise you are in direct breach of contract. Since you do not own the product, the matter can be taken to court.

Cancellation and Early Return Requests

  • Our cancellation policy is designed to be clear and fair, providing you with options should you need to cancel your rental order.
  • If your product has not been shipped, you can cancel your order free of charge. To request cancellation, you can write to us at wonderent@wonderchef.in. Once your cancellation request is approved, your order will be cancelled and the refund of the full amount you have paid will be initiated.
  • If your product has been shipped, and you request order cancellation, you will be charged a logistics fee of 10% of the total rental amount you have paid. In the rare occasion that the product is already out for delivery and reaches your location, you are requested to reject delivery so that the product is returned to our warehouse. Once the product reaches back to our warehouse, the refund of your remaining amount will be initiated. If you accept the package on delivery, your rental contract will start.
  • If you request an early return during your rental period, your rental charges will be based on the actual months of usage, and the rental rate will be determined by the tenure bracket you fall in.

  • To initiate early return please must log into their Wonderchef account and select “Initiate Return” under "My Rentals." The process will be the same as it is when you request pickup at the end of a full rental term.
